FRAMES

In order to make a stencil, the mesh is stretched on a rigid support - the frame of the stencil- on which the mesh is fixed by gluing.

The frames available in stock at EDCG are :

- ALUMINIUM FRAMES – most used

- WOODEN FRAMES- for less demanding applications

- STEEL FRAMES COATED BY ELECTROSTATIC METHODS -specific to textile applications

Metal frames are characterized by their exterior dimensions and a profile of the section, both responsible for the maximum tension at which the mesh  can be stretched without distortion .

The wooden frames have a lower resistance, changing their shape and warping in time.
